We made our debut at Progressive Greetings Live show last week which is a dedicated greetings card trade exhibition, held at Islington's Business Design Centre. Our stand was in the Springboard, which is the area for newbies to the show. In preparation for the show, we planned out the stand by laying all the cards out on the studio floor. This new idea worked really well to see which cards worked best next to others. From that, we were able to create a stand plan in Illustrator, which is the guide the build team refer to to create the stand once we get to the show. The stand plan is a tried and tested method and it's a really efficient and effective way to create our display. We launched a splendid collection of new cards at the show, some hand-made, some digitally printed. The show overall was predominantly printed cards so our handmade cards made quite an impression. We also took our newly launched luxury gift wrap. Although these are striking designs, the buyers at this show were solely focussed on greetings cards. Is there a separate trade show for gift wrap we wonder?
